Inspired by Icons

When I first started to explore icons I deliberately avoided going down the traditional route. I wanted to explore them for myself and used a variety of materials in the making of them.  This turned out to be my first training ground for iconography. I became captivated by them, their history, symbolism and the stories connected with them. I fell in love with them and the more I learnt the more I wanted to know.
